Scissors Schematic
Here’s a “schematic” for scissors. It’s mostly to get the proportions right for modeling which comes next. Wouldn’t want to meet this guy in a dark alley. Unless I was made of Rock.
Rock Paper Scissors animatic 1
The very rough first pass at an animatic for scene one. It’s coming in at 1 minute, 15 seconds which is a little long, but I bet it’ll come down to a minute when I tighten everything up.

Springboard storyboarding software
After much research and many false starts, I’ve finally found a simple, affordable storyboard/animatic app: Springboard.
You can import scanned images, draw directly in the app, export to html and assign durations to create an animatic with some simple camera moves. The drawing is rudimentary, but you can set it up so you can work on your frames in photoshop and pop them back in without having to keep track of any external files (and I’m not much of a drawer anyway).
